Is SayMelo for beginners?
No, and that is deliberate. It is built for learners who already have grammar and vocabulary but freeze in conversation, miss what natives really mean, or sound translated. Starting from zero, another app will serve you better.
What exactly is free?
Educational content is generally free. Practice requires sign-in; authenticated Free users receive 3 shared normal Practice sessions per day. Some AI features have separate Free tasting or usage limits, and SayMelo does not intentionally show advertising.
What is included in Pro?
Pro is a Google Play subscription with monthly and annual products. It includes normal Practice without the visible Free daily cap, subject to reasonable fair-use and anti-abuse protections, plus Pro AI features identified in the app. Some features may remain subject to safety or anti-abuse controls.
Do I need an account?
Educational content may be available without an account, but Practice requires sign-in. Signing in lets SayMelo apply the Free allowance or Pro access and sync account-associated progress where supported.
Does it work offline?
The situations, the Slang Hub and the four practice tools work with no connection. The AI tools need one, because the model does not live on your phone.
What happens when I use a speaking feature?
When you choose a speaking feature, a short microphone recording and the resulting transcript may be processed by SayMelo and AI or speech-processing service providers to return educational feedback. Do not submit sensitive personal information. Provider-specific names and retention practices are described only after they are verified for the current release.
How do I cancel Pro?
Manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancellation normally preserves access until the end of the paid or trial period. Deleting your SayMelo account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription, so manage it separately in Google Play.
How do I delete my account and data?
Use Settings → Delete Account & All Data in the app, or follow the public delete-account instructions if you cannot access the flow. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Limited records may be retained where legally, securely, or financially required.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not today. SayMelo is Android-only for now.
